Juris Legal Assists in Auction of Iron Ore Mines Valued at USD 2.62 billion

We are pleased to announce that Juris Legal assisted the State Government of Karnataka on all legal aspects of the auction by competitive bidding, of certain iron ore mines.

 

In the ongoing auction process, so far seven mines have been auctioned. The estimated value of the iron ore in the first four mines that were auctioned is INR 17,542 crore.

Juris Legal assists Punj Lloyd on divestment of UK Subsidiary

We are pleased to announce that Juris Legal recently assisted Punj Lloyd Engineering, a subsidiary of Punj Lloyd Limited, in selling the entire shareholding in its subsidiary Simon Carves Engineering registered in the United Kingdom to Engineers and Constructors International Inc., a design and engineering company belonging to the Mitsui Group, based in Houston, Texas, USA.

Juris Legal assisted Aurelius on the acquisition of Colt Technology’s Colt Managed Cloud business

We recently advised the pan-European, mid-market investor Aurelius Group on the cross-border acquisition of Colt Managed Cloud, the managed cloud business of Colt Group S.A. Following the closing of this acquisition on Friday, April 01, 2016 by us, Getronics, a Aurelius investee company, gets to use Colt’s business, and has amalgamated this business with its existing cloud business to form a new portfolio of cloud services, known as Managed Cloud Services. The acquired Colt Managed Cloud business, positioned by Gartner (an American research and advisory firm providing information technology related insight) as “a leader in the European Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud-enabled Managed Hosting” for the past three consecutive years, came with around 600 managed cloud customers. These customers are spread across 11 countries, hosted from best-in-class data centres in 12 different European locations.

Juris Legal assisted Taipan Resources Inc. of Canada in the acquisition of a 50% interest in Salam Block from Petroleum Exploration (Pvt) Ltd. Taipan Resources Inc. is an independent, Africa-focused oil exploration company with a 20% non-operated interest in Block 1 and a 100% operated-interest in Block 2B onshore Kenya through its wholly owned subsidiary Lion Petroleum Corp.
